Service Description

Emergency care for periodontitis in primary (baby) teeth (tooth cavity opening) is an urgent dental procedure aimed at quickly relieving pain, reducing inflammation, and preventing complications in children. Periodontitis in baby teeth is accompanied by severe pain, gum swelling, discomfort while chewing, and can negatively affect the child’s overall well-being. The main goal of emergency care is to create an outflow for the inflammatory contents and reduce internal pressure in the tooth. After an examination and, if necessary, X-ray evaluation, local anesthesia appropriate for children is applied. The procedure is performed as gently and safely as possible. During the tooth cavity opening, access is carefully provided to the affected tissues, which allows pain relief almost immediately. The cavity is cleaned of infected tissue, treated with an antiseptic, and a temporary medicated dressing or drainage is placed if needed. Timely intervention helps stop the progression of inflammation, prevents the spread of infection to the developing permanent teeth, and avoids serious complications. After the child’s condition is stabilized, an individual plan for further treatment or monitoring is developed. Emergency treatment of periodontitis in primary teeth is a crucial step in maintaining oral health in children and creating a positive experience with dental visits.
